MetaVu transforms Industrial Painter Training with VRush XR System
MetaVu today unveiled MetaVu-VRush, an immersive XR training platform poised to redefine how industrial painters master their craft under the mantra “Paint Without Paint.” The system eliminates hazardous materials, reduces training time by up to 66%, and digitally captures expert techniques, establishing a new global standard for skilled labor development. For decades, training for industrial painters has been a costly, time-consuming apprenticeship model fraught with safety risks from hazardous chemicals. MetaVu-VRush replaces this outdated approach with a realistic, safe, and data-driven virtual environment. Powered by digital twin technology and a proprietary physics engine, the system accurately simulates every aspect of the painting process—from coating thickness and spray patterns to common defects like orange peel and sagging—all without using a single drop of paint.Trainees receive immediate feedback. The system tracks a user's technique—including spray angle, speed, distance, and path—at a rate of 90 times per second. Performance data is visualized through intuitive heat maps, while a 3D avatar provides expert guidance in real-time. This data-centric methodology has been proven to accelerate skill acquisition by up to 3x. In pilot programs with companies in the HD Group, MetaVu-VRush slashed training programs from six months to just two, all while enhancing worker safety and output consistency.MetaVu-VRush also delivers significant Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) benefits. By moving training into the virtual world, it completely eliminates VOC emissions, paint waste, and cleaning solvent disposal. The platform enhances workplace safety by removing chemical exposure and creating a controlled learning environment. On a global scale, it enables companies to digitize the invaluable knowledge of their most seasoned experts, creating a scalable and standardized training curriculum that can be deployed anywhere.“MetaVu-VRush is more than a training simulator; it’s a complete workforce development platform built on the pillars of safety, sustainability, and speed,” said Roh Jinsong, CEO of MetaVu. “By transforming the hard-earned knowledge of veteran painters into a digital asset, we are empowering industries to preserve critical skills, drive down operational costs, and cultivate the next generation of expert talent.”MetaVu will officially launch MetaVu-VRush at CES 2026, taking place from January 6–9 in Las Vegas. Attendees can experience the system at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), West Hall, Booth #15241.
