Crypto VCs take lead from Silicon Valley investors

Why does the new paradigm still include tokens?
The most common investment methods employed by Web3 and blockchain venture capitalists have changed. While those VCs have mainly received tokens in return for their investment in early cryptocurrency projects over the last five years or so, trends are now tending towards a hybrid model, in which they receive both a stake in the startup and a token warrant that would allow them to purchase tokens issued by the startup in the future. This hybrid approach is favored within Silicon Valley, so why have VCs changed their investment preferences? And how can investors capitalize off of this new standard?
